       Mooksevak of Gujarat Shri Ravi Shankar Vyas was born in Radhu village of Kheda district on the 1884, holy day of Mahashivaratri. His father's name was Shivram Vyas and mother's name was Nathiba. His hometown was Saraswani village in Mahemdavad taluka. Initially, he helped his father by farming.
        He dedicated his life to community service. He has been awarded the nicknames of a true saint, a handful of tall human beings, another Gandhi of Gujarat, a silent servant etc. He was an early resident of Gandhiji and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In the 1820's and 1930's, he met with collaborators like Narhari Parikh and Mohanlal Pandya and organized India's freedom struggle in Gujarat.
        He joined the country and social service all his life. Worked in Vinobabhave's Bhudan and Sarvodaya schemes. He also risked his life to correct outsiders. He guided the abandoned como of the society. The whole Bhagirath work was narrated by Zaverchand Meghani in the character story 'Divinity of Man'. He also managed Gandhiji's Dandi March.
        When the state of Gujarat was established in 1960, he inaugurated the state of Gujarat. "Let's be brighter by rubbing, let's be consumed by others" was his motto.
